    We supply various grades of Chromium metal with Eurpean Origin.
    Chromium Metal finds use in a wide range of applications from aerospace to chemicals.


    (a) Double Degassed Briquettes (DDB)
    This is a product with particularly low gas content and low residual element levels. It is recommended for uses in the production of superalloys in rotating part applications.

    Chemical Analysis (Typical)
    Cr 99.8%; rest ppm – Al 60, Fe 1000, Si 300, C 250, S 20, O 400, N 40,
    H trace, Ag <0.5, B <1, Bi <0.5, Cd <0.2, C <10, Cu <10, Mn <10,
    P <10, Pb <1, Sb <5, Se <1, Sn <5, Th <1, Te <1, Tl <0.5, Zn 5

    We can also supply a low sulphur grade (ULS. DDB) with similar analysis to the above except that the sulphur content is typically 9 ppm. This product is used where sulphur content is critical i.e. single crystal alloys.

    The briquettes are approx. 35 x 25 x 15 mm and are packed in steel drums.

    (b) Vacuum Grade Aluminothermic

    Cr 99.7%, Al 0.06%, Fe 0.10%, Si 0.07%, C 0.007%, S 0.004%, O 0.10%, N 0.005%, H Trace, Ag <0.0002%, B <0.0001%, Bi <0.00005%, Co <0.0015%, Cu <0.003%, Ga 0.008%, Mn <0.003%, P <0.002%, Pb <0.001%,
    Se 0.0002%, Sn <0.001%, Te <0.0002%, Zn <0.002%

    Adjustment to certain critical elements i.e. Nitrogen and Sulphur, can be made on request. The product is used mainly in superalloy production where residual element control is required.

    (c) Nitrided Chromium Metal
    This is a briquetted product with approx 12% Nitrogen and is used to give controlled nitrogen additions in certain nickel base superalloys.

    Chemical Analysis (Typical)
    N 9-12%, C 0.05%, Al 0.1%, Si 0.08%, Fe 0.15%, Mn 0.001%,
    Cr balance.

    Further grades and qualities are available upon customer's request.
